The Guardian of Your Steam System.
The McDonnell & Miller #67 is the worldwide standard for low water cut-offs on residential and light commercial steam boilers. Installed on millions of systems, this float-operated control mechanically kills the power to the burner if the water level drops below a safe point, preventing catastrophic dry-firing.
If your boiler is cutting out intermittently or the old LWCO is clogged with sediment and won't flush clean, immediate replacement is required by code. The #67 features a "Quick Hook-Up" design that installs directly into the gauge glass tappings, making it a universal fit for almost any steam boiler found in the five boroughs.
